I don't normally write a place five star. However, in this case I find Rush espresso to be a golden nugget. Had breakfast there this morning and this was my first visit. Needless to say very pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly knowledgeable courteous and attentive. I ordered the breakfast panini and the presentation alone was enough to impress. You could tell at that moment this is a chef who cares. The bag yet it came on was fresh and almost as good as when you could get in France. The hash browns are like nothing you have seen almost looks like a crab cake but really tasty. I need to try this place for lunch and or dinner as it's hard to find a place like this anywhere. The ambiance or atmosphere is more like a upscale coffee shop. Try it I think you'll like it. Also had a chance to briefly meet the owner really nice guy friendly and obviously quite proud of what he's got here. He should be.
Rush is not just for coffee any more. If you have not been to Rush Espresso in Ballantyne Village you are missing out. They have great coffee ( as expected ), but they also have great food and a full bar with beer, wine, and alcohol. Check out their site to know who will be performing on their stage. Wednesday is open mic and that is a great night to join the fun.

Rush is one of my favorite places in Charlotte. This is not just your average coffee joint with a few pastries to eat or reheated frozen food like the big coffee chains. Instead, not only will you find excellent coffee, but you’ll also get some outstanding breakfast and lunch options that have the presentation and taste of a high-end restaurant. Love Rush! Coffee is wonderful and the staff is friendly. Tons of seating everywhere with outlets for your laptops. I would be there all of the time if it weren't such a long drive for me. Love the creativity behind the beetroot latté
